CELLULITE
TREATMENT

What is cellulite?
Cellulite is a common cosmetic concern that refers to a dimpled or lumpy appearance of the skin, most commonly occurring on the thighs and buttocks. While not a dangerous medical condition, cellulite can be an aesthetic concern that can affect self-esteem and body confidence.
Cellulite is caused by the protrusion of subcutaneous fat deposits into the skin's upper layers, which is accentuated by connective tissues that pull the skin downward. This creates the characteristic dimpled, bumpy appearance of cellulite.
Factors that may contribute to the development of cellulite include genetics, hormonal imbalances, poor diet, lack of exercise, dehydration, and chronic inflammation. Women are more likely than men to develop cellulite due to differences in skin thickness and fat distribution.
While it cannot be completely eliminated, cellulite can be managed through lifestyle changes, including a healthy diet, regular exercise, and staying hydrated. There are also several cosmetic treatments available to improve the appearance of cellulite, including vacuum therapy, laser therapy, and massage therapy, among others.
It is important to note that while cellulite may be a cosmetic concern for some, it does not indicate poor health or fitness level.
How does the Starvac Massage work?
The Starvac massage is an effective body-modeling weapon in the fight against fat deposits and cellulite. Using a mechanical/palpate/roll device we can dislodge fat pockets trapped in subcutaneous tissue by providing its deep activation, while stimulating the blood and lymphatic flow and improving the appearance and elasticity of the skin. Over the course of the treatments, the dimpled aspect disappears, the body is toned and the body-shape is recontoured.
While performing the anti-cellulite body massage there is activated lymph outage, stimulated the microcirculation of the skin and fat tissue. It accelerates the adhesion of fatty cells; skin become smooth and tight and dramatically decreased the volume and cellulite in the areas of buttocks, thighs, hands, back and waist.
The Starvac creates a partial vacuum on the skin surface and suctions the skin between two mobile rollers, located inside the suction handles. The spacing between the rollers adapts to the fold of the skin. While the suction cup moves, the skin fold is rolled and massaged, giving the unique “massage-roller-suction” action.
Treatment Period
Recommended average course of the treatments is 10 – 15 sessions (up to 30 in severe cases), two – three times a week. You also need to drink at least 1-2 liters of still water during the day, diet and exercise to break the cellulite cycle and achieve better slimming result.
However, women are more prone to cellulite than men. Because, male and female skin is fundamentally different. Female fat cells sit within large, side-by-side, separate compartments, that form columns underneath the skin’s surface. When female fat cells fatten, the compartments overflow and have no choice but to expand vertically. At this point the fat pushes upwards, puts massive pressure on the skin’s surface, and eventually creates the bumps known as cellulite.
On the flip side, male skin follows a crisscrossed pattern. Male fat containers are smaller, and when they grow they tend to create one big, solid blob of fat (if it even penetrates the thick epidermis – the very top layer of the skin). Although beer bellies are annoyingly common, most men won’t have cellulite. Men also have a much thicker epidermis, which makes male skin MUCH more resilient to structural change and dimpling, which protects it from cellulite. On the other side, women have a thinner epidermis, which exposes it to lumpiness and disfiguration. Men have a strong, outer layer that prevents the fat from bulging through the surface. Women, well, don’t.
The causes of cellulite include changes in metabolism, physiology, diet and exercise habits, inactive lifestyle, sex-specific, hormonal factors, genetic factors, a high-stress lifestyle, bad habits.
Although, cellulite is one of the life’s annoying realities, but the good news is, there is really effective way to minimize its appearance.
